Ham turned 13 months old just a couple of days ago. This past week, he once again amazed us with many new milestones and firsts.
He actually points to his nose now when you ask: "Where's your nose?"
He started saying the words: no, balloon.
He's been saying: nana (for banana), bubbles, more, wawa (for water).
He finally started doing the sign gesture for 'milk' though I think he is confused and also signs it for water.
He kisses you on the mouth when you ask for a kiss! At least to his parents. When we ask him to kiss others while holding him in our arms, he still kisses us and not the person he is supposed to give a kiss to!
On Thursday this past week, we got a call from school to say he had a fever of 102 and that he was wheezing. He had been sick with heavy congestion for the past week but not fever so we had been sending him to school. He has a lot of flame and mucus he just doesn't know how to get rid of, poor baby. We took him to the doctor and he was given Albuteral to help with his breathing. This drug works by relaxing the smooth muscle in the airways which allows air to flow in and out of his lungs more easily. The doctor also prescribed Azithromycin, something to treat the mild/moderate possible infection, though the doc doesn't think he has pneumonia or bronchitis.
We took him back to see Dr. Tessler on Friday, the day after and he seems to be doing much better though not yet at 100%. His fever is gone now but he still sounds congested and has a hard time breathing. Hopefully the medicines will work over the weekend and he'll be in better shape on Monday and can go back to school.
